No. 1 Cavaliers roll past Graceland JV behind three double-doubles

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Three players recorded double-doubles for the Johnson County Community College women's basketball team as the No. 1-ranked Cavaliers took control early and rolled to an 86-35 victory over Graceland JV on Sunday afternoon.

Jade Warren posted 15 points and 13 rebounds, while Anonda Ford added 16 points and 12 boards. Joycelyn Moore rounded out the trio with 10 assists and 12 rebounds, also contributing five points. JCCC dominated the glass, owning a commanding 72-24 rebounding advantage.

Layla Scott led all scorers with 19 points, connecting on 5-of-8 attempts from 3-point range. Her five triples pushed her career total to 185, just four shy of the program record.

Additional contributions came from Korrie Holcer (9 points), Makenna Jennings (8 points, six rebounds, three steals), Makayia Johnson (6 points, six rebounds), and Layla Barnes, who grabbed nine rebounds and scored four points.

Azareeyah Heave led Graceland JV with seven points.

With the win, the Cavaliers improved to 18-0 on the season and will open conference play on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Highland.
