OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No. 1-ranked Johnson County Community College women's basketball team raced out to a 20-point first-quarter lead and never looked back, rolling to a 119–43 win over Saint Mary University JV Friday night. The Cavaliers' 119-point outburst ties the sixth-most points scored in a single game in program history.

Freshman guard Anonda Ford delivered her best performance of the season, posting a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds—both career highs. She was nearly flawless from the field, hitting 10 of 11 shots, and added a perfect 3-for-3 mark at the free-throw line.

Freshman forward Mia Adams also set a new season high, finishing with 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including a 3-pointer and a pair of free throws.

Sophomore guard Layla Scott followed with 20 points, six rebounds and four assists, while freshman guard Layla Barnes recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Freshman guard Jade Warren led the bench scoring with 12 points, and freshman forward Makenna Jennings paced the team on the glass with 13 rebounds. Freshman guard Skyte Wilson added nine points and six boards.

The Spires were led by Ella Gilliam, who scored 12 points.

JCCC (6-0) returns to action Saturday afternoon against North Central Missouri. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
