OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – The No. 1-ranked Johnson County Community College women's basketball team improved to 16-0 on the season with a dominant 110-38 victory over Treasure Valley Community College on Friday night.

All-America guard Layla Scott led the Cavaliers with 25 points, six rebounds, six assists and six steals. The sophomore was highly efficient, shooting 8-of-11 from the floor, including five 3-pointers, and knocking down all four of her free throw attempts.

Freshman guard Jade Warren led the bench with a season-high 22 points, connecting on 8-of-9 shots and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Warren also contributed seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Freshman forward Mia Adams added 14 points and seven rebounds, while fellow freshman forward Layla Barnes chipped in 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting.

Treasure Valley was led by Ava Cugg and Ashten Moore, who each finished with nine points.

The Cavaliers return to action Saturday, January 10, against Metropolitan Community College before opening conference play at Highland Community College on January 14.
