OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College freshman guard Anonda Ford has been selected the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Women's Basketball Player of the Week for week seven.

Ford led the way for the Cavaliers, recording her third double-double of the season with a game-high 26 points and 10 rebounds in an 85-56 romp over number 10-ranked Parkland last Friday evening. She was highly efficient, converting 13-of-16 shots from the floor. The performance capped an outstanding month of December for the freshman, who averaged 24.3 points and 11.3 rebounds over four games while shooting 73 percent from the floor.

Through 14 games this season, Ford ranks tied for fourth in the conference scoring averaging 15.3 points per game. She also ranks second in field percentage (61.5%), fourth in free throw percentage (71.9)%), and seventh in rebounds (8.0).
