Marissa Ritchey is an athletic left-handed wing who has great scoring potential and can really shoot the well from the perimeter.  

Freshman Year 2020-21

Played in 24 games … Averaged 5.6 points, 1.0 assists and 0.8 rebounds … Ranked third on the team and eighth in the conference with 24 made 3-point field goals … Connected on 36.9 percent of the 3-point attempts, which ranked third in the conference and 42nd in the NJCAA … Scored in double figures four times on times on the season … Opened her collegiate career hitting 4-of-7 3-point shots for 12 points in a 72-44 win over Southeast (1-23-21) … Has seven points and two rebounds in an 82-50 win over Tabor JV (2-1-21) … Hit 4-of-7 shots, including three 3-pointers, and a free throw for 12 points in a 92-46 win over Missouri Valley JV (2-2-21) … Knocked down three more treys and finished with 12 points in a 76-54 win over Bethel JV (2-9-21) … Was JCCC’s leading scorer with a career-high 16 points in a 100-43 win at Graceland JV (2-12-21) … Was 5-of-12 shooting with two 3-pointers, and 4-for-4 at the three throw line … Also registered a game highs for rebounds with three and steals with two … Finished with eight points, two assists and two steals in an 81-51 win at Fort Scott (3-3-21) … Was 2-for-2 behind the arc, and 3-of-4 overall, to finish with eight points in an 88-38 win over Hesston (3-24-21) … Tallied five points in JCCC’s 86-49 win over Grand Rapids in the first round of the NJCAA D-II National Tournament (4-21-21).

High School

Was a three-year letter winner for coaches Jared Broughton and Jeff Hardin at Lee’s Summit West High School, Lee’s Summit, Mo. … Graduated 2020 … Was a two-time Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference Big Six Gold  and All-District performer … Helped the Titans win three consecutive conference titles … Averaged 8.0 points as a sophomore, 6.8 points as junior and 8.1 points her senior year … Made 116 3-point baskets over her three varsity seasons … Was presented the McDonald’s Player of the Week on January 2020 after scoring 14 points against Lee’s Summit North … Played club basketball in 2017-18 for the Lady Titans coached by Brad Beeler, and for the Lady Prospects in 2018-20, coached by Phillip McCree … Helped the Lady Prospects win the Run-4-Roses 1-70 Championship … Also earned two varsity letters in track and field competing in the sprint events and long jump … Earned All-State her sophomore and junior years while helping the Titans to a pair of state track championships … Honor roll student.
