JCCC baseball commit Maverick Garnder selected for the Native America All-Star Showcase in Atlanta
June 26, 2026The Atlanta Braves recently released the rosters for the fifth annual Native American All-Star Baseball Showcase, which will take place at Truist Park on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday June 28. Forty-seven of the top high school baseball players of Native American descent will participate, representing 32 tribes from across 19 states and Canada. -
JCCC's Eric Horner Named ABCA/ATEC NJCAA D-I Coach of the Year
June 25, 2026Johnson County Community College head baseball coach Eric Horner has been named the 2026 NJCAA Division I National Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and ATEC. Earlier this week Horner was named the ABCA/ATEC Plains Region Coach of the Year for a fourth consecutive year. This is the first time he has been selected as the National Coach of the Year. -
Five players named ABCA/Rawlings Baseball All-Americans

JCCC's Eric Horner Named ABCA/ATEC NJCAA D-I Plains Region Coach of the Year for fourth Consecutive Season
June 23, 2026Johnson County Community College head baseball coach Eric Horner has been named the 2026 NJCAA Division I Plains Region Coach of the Year by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and ATEC. This marks the fourth consecutive year Horner has earned the prestigious honor. Last year he became the first coach in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) and Region 6 history to three-peat. -
Groh awarded NJCAA ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove
