Cavaliers Dominate KJCCC East Honors with 14 All-Conference Selections

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) announced its 2026 East Division All-Conference teams, and undefeated conference champion and No. 1-ranked Johnson County Community College was well represented with 14 total selections, including eight first-team honorees.

Headlining the list of accolades, sophomore first baseman Colin Coonradt was named the conference's Most Valuable Player, becoming just the fifth Cavalier in program history to earn the honor. Freshman outfielder Ryan Bradford was selected Freshman of the Year, marking the fourth time a JCCC player has received the award, while sophomore pitcher Liam Roche earned Co-Pitcher of the Year honors, the fourth such distinction in program history. Head coach Eric Horner also collected KJCCC East Coach of the Year honors for the fourth consecutive season.

Coonradt, Bradford and Roche were joined on the All-KJCCC East First Team by sophomore second baseman Briggs Roe, sophomore third baseman Logan Groh, sophomore catcher Boston Bruce, freshman designated hitter Brayden Giesler and freshman starting pitcher Ashton Nance. Sophomore outfielder Ashton Hartwig, sophomore starting pitcher Victor Christal and sophomore relief pitcher Braylon Brooks earned second-team recognition, while freshman relief pitcher Lance Alexander, sophomore starting pitcher Ronin Vicenti and sophomore shortstop Lukas Wilson picked up honorable mention accolades.

In 2026, the Cavaliers turned in a historic campaign, finishing the regular season with a 54-2 record, the best mark in program history. JCCC also became just the second team in conference history to go undefeated in league play, posting a perfect 32-0 record in KJCCC competition.

Coonradt has been a force at the plate, batting .439 (83-for-189) with 15 doubles, two triples and 33 home runs to go along with 90 runs scored and 94 RBI. He ranks among the conference leaders in multiple categories, including second in home runs and runs scored and third in RBI, extra-base hits and slugging percentage. On the national stage, he ranks third in both home runs and slugging percentage. His 33 home runs are the second-highest single-season total in program history. Coonradt has recorded 30 multi-hit games, including a program-record eight multi-home run performances, and has been recognized twice as KJCCC East Player of the Week, as well as NJCAA Division I Player of the Week once.

Bradford has authored one of the most remarkable freshman seasons in program history, leading the conference in batting average (.459), hits (101), home runs (35), extra-base hits (62) and runs scored (107). He has added 97 RBI and produced 33 multi-hit games and seven multi-home run efforts. Bradford has already established new single-season program records for hits, home runs, extra-base hits and runs scored, while also setting marks with a 31-game hitting streak and recording an RBI in 28 consecutive games. Nationally, he leads the NJCAA in home runs, extra-base hits and runs, while earning conference Player of the Week honors five times and NJCAA Player of the Week recognition twice.

On the mound, Roche has been dominant, posting a perfect 14-0 record across 16 starts. He has struck out 108 batters in 67.1 innings, recording three complete games and one shutout. Roche leads both the conference and the nation in wins and ranks second nationally in strikeouts. His strikeout total ranks third in program history, and he has earned KJCCC East Pitcher of the Week honors three times this season.

Roe has also enjoyed an outstanding campaign, hitting .454 with 22 doubles, four triples and 25 home runs, while driving in 87 runs and scoring 89 times. He ranks among the conference leaders in numerous offensive categories and was recognized early in the season as both KJCCC East and NJCAA Division I Player of the Week.

Groh has delivered an outstanding season at the plate, hitting .441 (100-for-227) with 16 doubles, five triples and 23 home runs. He has scored 83 runs and driven in a conference-best 102 RBI, setting a new JCCC single-season record. Groh leads the team with 36 multi-hit games and 30 multi-RBI efforts. In conference rankings, he stands second in hits, fourth in triples, home runs and runs scored, and fifth in both extra-base hits (44) and slugging percentage (.859). Nationally, Groh ranks third in both hits and RBI. In the final week of the season, he was named the KJCCC East Baseball Player of the Week.

Bruce is hitting at a .415 clip (71-for-171) with 14 doubles, four triples, 14 home runs, 71 runs scored and 68 RBI. He has recorded 25 multi-hit games and 21 multi-RBI games this season. Bruce ranks seventh in the conference in runs scored and slugging percentage (.789), eighth in batting average, ninth in triples and 10th in both hits and RBI. In Week 9, he earned KJCCC East Baseball Player of the Week honors.

Giesler has posted a .427 batting average (47-for-110) with 11 doubles, five triples and 18 home runs, while adding 55 runs and 53 RBI. He has tallied 14 multi-hit games and 15 multi-RBI performances. Giesler leads both the KJCCC and NJCAA with a 1.109 slugging percentage and ranks tied for fourth in triples, sixth in batting average, and eighth in both home runs and extra-base hits (34).

Nance has been one of the top pitchers in the conference, compiling a perfect 13-0 record with two complete games. He has struck out 72 batters over 67 innings with a 2.96 ERA. Nance ranks second in the conference in wins and fourth in both strikeouts and ERA. His 13 wins rank third nationally in the NJCAA and tie for the third-most in program history. He was twice named KJCCC East Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

Hartwig is batting .369 (69-for-187) with 12 doubles, three triples and eight home runs. He has scored 54 runs and driven in 56 while producing 21 multi-hit and 16 multi-RBI games. Hartwig ranks among the top 15 in the conference in hits and triples.

Christal, the Cavaliers' third starter, is 10-0 in 13 starts with 78 strikeouts over 45.2 innings pitched. He ranks third in the conference in wins and strikeouts and is tied for eighth with a 3.74 ERA. His 10 victories rank seventh nationally, and he was named KJCCC East Baseball Pitcher of the Week in Week 10.

Brooks has served as JCCC's top reliever, leading the conference and ranking tied for 25th nationally with five saves. His total also ties for 11th on the program's single-season list. In 17 appearances, Brooks has recorded 37 strikeouts over 23.1 innings with a 2.70 ERA, which ranks second in the conference among pitchers with 20 or more innings.

Alexander has appeared in 15 games, including five starts, posting a 1-1 record with one save. He has struck out 43 batters in 31 innings of work.

Vincenti has made 15 appearances, including eight starts, and holds a perfect 9-0 record. He has recorded 67 strikeouts over 49.1 innings. His nine wins are tied for fourth in the conference and rank 15th nationally.

Together, the collection of individual honors reflects the Cavaliers' historic season and dominant run through conference play.
