JCCC to host championship celebration honoring baseball’s historic season

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County Community College Athletics invites Cavalier fans and college faculty and staff to the Gymnasium Monday, June 1, to celebrate the JCCC baseball program's JUCO World Series National Championship.

Admission is free to Monday's event, which officially gets underway at 1 p.m.

The National Championship celebration will include the presentation of the championship banner as well as head coach Eric Horner and various JCCC players addressing the audience.

Johnson County Community College entered the 2026 Alpine Bank JUCO World Series as the No. 1-ranked team in the nation and the tournament's top seed. They left Grand Junction as national champions — and one of the most dominant team's college baseball has ever seen.
