Six Cavaliers Earn NJCAA All-America Honors After Championship Season

Bradford, Coonradt, Groh, Roche, Nance and Roe named NJCAA All-America

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Postseason honors continue to pour in for the 2026 NJCAA National Champion Johnson County Community College baseball program, as a record six players earned NJCAA All-America honors presented by Netting Professionals.

Freshman outfielder Ryan Bradford, sophomore first baseman Colin Coonradt, and sophomore third baseman Logan Groh were named first-team selections. Sophomore left-handed pitcher Liam Roche and freshman right-handed pitcher Ashton Nance earned third-team honors, while sophomore second baseman Briggs Roe received honorable mention recognition.

These six were key contributors to one of the most successful seasons in college baseball history. The Cavaliers completed a perfect 32-0 conference record, won a program-best 41 consecutive games, and captured both the Region 6/Plains District title and the program's first NJCAA Division I World Series National Championship. JCCC finished the year with an extraordinary 67-3 overall record.

First-Team All-Americans

Bradford, who also earned All-KJCCC and All-Region 6 first-team honors along with KJCCC Freshman of the Year, delivered a historic season. He batted .437 (114-for-261) with 24 doubles, six triples, and a record-setting 42 home runs. Bradford added 72 extra-base hits, 128 runs scored, and 113 RBI. He produced 37 multiple-hit games, second-most in team history, and 29 multiple-RBI games, tied for third-most.

His 42 home runs established new JCCC, KJCCC, and NJCAA records and rank among the top five single-season totals in college baseball history. He also tied the program record with 113 RBI. Bradford led the conference in triples, home runs, extra-base hits, RBI, runs scored, and slugging percentage (1.057).

Nationally, Bradford led in home runs, runs scored, and extra-base hits while ranking second in slugging percentage and RBI and third in hits. He also set program records with a 31-game hitting streak, 28 consecutive games with an RBI, and nine multi-home run games. His most memorable moment came in the Region 6/Plains District Tournament, when he hit a walk-off grand slam to cap an 11-9 comeback over Barton.

Coonradt, the KJCCC East MVP and an All-Region 6 first-team selection, batted .430 (98-for-228) with 37 home runs, 17 doubles, two triples, and 109 RBI. He also totaled 105 runs scored, 55 extra-base hits, and a program-record 61 walks. He produced 33 multiple-hit games, which ties for third on program history, and 33 multiple-RBI games, second-most all-time for a season.

He led the conference in on-base percentage (.567) and walks while ranking second in home runs, extra-base hits, and runs scored. Nationally, Coonradt ranked second in home runs, fourth in walks, fifth in RBI and slugging percentage (1.009), and ninth in hits. His 37 home runs tie for ninth-most in college baseball history and are tied for the second-most ever by a two-year player.

On JCCC's season charts, he set a record for walks, ranks second in home runs, multiple home run games (8), runs scored and multiple-RBI games. He is third in RBI and multiple-hit games and fourth in hits. 

Groh, also an All-KJCCC and All-Region 6 first-team selection, led the team with a .446 average (120-for-269). He added 19 doubles, five triples, and 25 home runs, along with 100 runs scored and 113 RBI.

Groh set program records with 42 multi-hit games and 35 multi-RBI games. He led the team, conference, and NJCAA in hits while tying for the lead in RBI at both the team and conference levels and finishing tied for second nationally. He also established team single-season records for at-bats and hits and tied the season record for RBI. He also ranks third in runs scored, fourth in extra base hits, fifth in home runs and tied for sixth in multiple home run games. In conference history, he ranks third all-time in hits and runs and is tied for third in RBI.

Groh was also recognized for his defensive skills, earning a Rawlings Gold Glove Award.

Third-Team All-Americans

Roche, a KJCCC Co-Pitcher of the Year and first-team all-Region 6 selection, posted a perfect 16-0 record in 19 appearances (18 starts). He recorded three complete games and one shutout while striking out a program-record 120 batters in 78.1 innings with an ERA of 4.02.

Roche led both the KJCCC and NJCAA in victories and strikeouts and set program and conference records for wins. His 120 strikeouts rank ninth in conference history.

Nance, also a first-team All-KJCCC and All-Region 6 honoree, went 14-0 in 19 appearances (18 starts). He recorded 92 strikeouts over 84.1 innings with a 3.95 ERA and led the team in innings pitched and complete games (3).

Nance ranked first in the conference in innings, second in wins, third in ERA, and fourth in strikeouts. Nationally, he ranked third in wins, eighth in innings pitched, and 24th in strikeouts.

Honorable Mention

Roe, another first-team all-conference and all-region selection, batted .427 (106-for-248) with 24 doubles, four triples, and 27 home runs. He totaled 100 runs scored, 96 RBI, 55 extra-base hits, and 20 stolen bases. He produced 33 multiple-hit games, tying for third all-time in program history, and 25 multiple-RBI games, which ranks sixth all-time.

Roe ranked second in the conference in doubles and finished among the top four in hits, home runs, extra-base hits, runs scored, and stolen bases. Nationally, he ranked fourth in hits and extra base hits, sixth in runs, eighth in home runs and ninth in RBI.

On JCCC's season charts he ranks tied for second in doubles, third in hits, home runs, extra base hits and at bats. He is tied for third in runs scored, fourth in RBI and sixth in multiple-hit game. In the KJCCC history Roe ranks sixth in hits, tied for sixth in home runs and tied for seventh in runs.
