OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Johnson County Community College pushed its historic run to new heights Saturday, sweeping a doubleheader from Kansas City Kansas Community College to extend its program-record winning streak to 30 games.

The Cavaliers improved to 46-2 overall and a perfect 24-0 in conference play with a 7-1 victory in the opener followed by a wild 20-15 slugfest in game two.

JCCC's combination of timely hitting and dominant stretches on the mound proved decisive in both contests, as the Cavaliers continued to assert themselves as one of the nation's top teams.

In game one, JCCC used a pair of big innings and a strong outing from Ashton Nance to secure the win. The Cavaliers broke through with three runs in the third inning and added insurance late, including a three-run seventh to pull away. Colin Coonradt powered the offense with a home run and four RBI, while Ryan Bradford and Briggs Roe each added two hits.

Nance was in control throughout, tossing a complete game and allowing just one run on three hits while striking out eight to earn the win.

The nightcap turned into an offensive explosion, with JCCC outlasting KCKCC in a 35-run shootout. The Cavaliers pounded out 16 hits and drew nine walks, producing runs in six different innings.

Bradford set the tone at the top of the lineup, going 3-for-4 with four runs scored and a home run. Lukas Wilson delivered a huge performance with a home run and four RBI, while Briggs Roe collected four hits including three doubles and drove in three. Logan Groh added three hits and three RBI as part of the balanced attack.

JCCC built multiple leads but had to withstand several rallies from KCKCC before finally putting the game away with an eight-run outburst in the eighth inning. Jack Jones broke a 15-15- tie with his three-run double in the inning.

The Cavaliers used nine pitchers in the game, with Anson Siebert earning the win in relief during a critical stretch in the middle innings.

With the sweep, JCCC continues to dominate conference play, remaining unbeaten while extending a streak that now stands as the longest in program history. The Cavaliers have combined explosive offense with enough pitching depth to handle high-scoring games, a formula that has carried them through an extraordinary 30-game run.
