Roche selected KJCCC East Pitcher of the Week

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Liam Roche has been named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference East Division Pitcher of the Week for week five, the organization announced Tuesday. He is the third Cavalier pitcher in five weeks to be selected by the KJCCC.

Roche helped No. 4-ranked Johnson County Community College claim ins fifth consecutive series, earning a 4-3 victory in the opening game of four-game series set No. 13 Iowa Western Community College.

The left-hander allowed four hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings while striking out a season-high nine batters. With the victory, Roche improved to 3-0 and now has 32 strikeouts over 19 innings pitched.
