OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Johnson County third baseman Wyatt Morgan was one of two players to be selected as the Kansas Jayhawk Conference Baseball Player of the Week for week seven. He was the co-recipient with Barton outfield Connor Scott.  Colby right-hander Alex Cook earned Pitcher of the Week. 

Morgan hit .625 (5-for-8) with two homers, five runs and eight RBI  in a pair of wins over Labette last week.  In the opener, he was 2-for-3 with two runs and a run driven in. Morgan followed with three hits, including two home runs and seven runs driven in. His seven RBI were just one shy of the all-time game mark at JCCC. 

For the season, the freshman out of Olathe Northwest High school is batting .640 (16-for-25) with a triple, four home runs, 14 runs scored and 17 driven in.
