OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – For the second time this season, Johnson County Community College freshman outfielder Quinton Hall has been named the Baseball Player of the Week by the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference. He also earned the honor in week one.
Last week, Hall batted .667 (8-for-12) with two doubles, a home run, six runs scored and seven driven in over three game last week. In the final series of the season against Fort Scott, Hall belted a three-run home run and had an RBI single, and scored twice in a 16-2 win in game one. In the second game, he was 4-for-5 with two doubles, drove in two and scored three times in a 9-7 loss to the Greyhounds.
Hall finished the season batting .462 (30-for-65) with seven doubles, two triples, six homers, 32 runs and 23 driven in. He collected 10 multiple-hit games and seven multiple-RBI games. Hall ranked ninth in the conference in batting average, tied for sixth in hits, tied for second in runs, tied for ninth in doubles and tied for fourth in home run. Nationally, he tied for seventh in runs and tied for 23rd in home runs.
He came to JCCC from Mill Valley High School where he was a two-time Kansas 6A All-State and three-time All-Eastern Kansas League performer.
