Attended Kansas City Kansas Community College in the fall of 2019, then transferred to Ventura College, Ventura, Calif., for the spring of 2020 … Did not play basketball for either college. 

High School

Started his senior year for coach Brian Johnson at West Aurora High School, Chicago, Ill.,  …  Graduated 2019 … Averaged 15 points per game  while helping West Aurora to a conference championship and advance to a Class 4A Sectional … Spent his freshman and sophomore years at St. Joseph playing for Chicago basketball icon and Illinois’ all-time winningest high school coach Gene Pingatore …  His junior year attended  Curie, a Chicago Public League power … While at St. Joseph, he helped lead the Chargers to a fourth-place finish in Class 3A as a freshman … Averaged 9.4 points per game … While at Curie, he led the Condors to a win against top-ranked Orr and hit a game-winning  shot to get his team into the title game at Pontiac.

Personal

Born Marquise Walker on December 5, 1999 … Son of Chikosi Walker … Also recruited by the Kansas, Florida State, DePaul, LSU, Texas A&M, West Virginia and Illinois … Was the subject of a 2008 piece by ESPN’s Outside the Lines titled “YouTube Baby”, which chronicled his father’s efforts to market his abilities online … As a kid he performred dribbling exhibitions at halftime of Memphis Grizzlies and Chicago Sky games … Was once labeled the best kindergartner in the nation  … Averaged 35 points per game as a seventh-grader playing at the eight-grade level at Stevenson Middle School in the Chicago area.
