OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – One day after being named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division II Softball Player of the Week, Makenzie Yoder has been selected the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Softball Player of the Week.

Yoder had a big week while helping the 12th-ranked Cavaliers win three of four games against top-tier competition. The sophomore hit .692 for the week with two doubles, a home run, six runs scored, three walks, four stolen bases, and nine RBI. Yoder recorded multiple hits in all four games, including a three-hit game in the back end of a doubleheader with number 22 nationally ranked Iowa Central by going three-for-four with a double and three RBI.
