A highly decorated player while at Bishop Carroll, Eve Morris will be the starter in centerfield and according to coach Brattin-Volkens, could be the best to play the position in her tenure … Smart player and anticipates well … Has outstanding speed which allows her to cover a lot of ground in centerfield … Has a strong arm to go with it … Also possesses a solid bat and is penciled in to hit near the top of the batting order.

Earned All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference D-II and Region 6/Plains District honorable mention … Batted .437 (45-for-103) with a team-best 17 doubles, two triples, two home runs, 23 runs scored and 28 driven in … Her 17 doubles are ranked second in the conference and tie for 19th on JCCC’s season chart … Produced 10 multiple-hit and 10 multiple-RBI games … Also stole 17 bases, third-most on the team … Collected her first hit, a two-run double, to help JCCC to a 4-3 win over Iowa Central in the season opener (3-5-23) … Followed with another double and run in a 9-4 win over Iowa Central in the second game … Registered her first multi-hit game with two singles in a 3-1 win over Indian Hills (3-15-23) … Drove in two runs with a double, stole two bases and scored a run in a 5-1 win over North Iowa Area (3-15-23) … Ripped another two-run double and scored in a 12-0 win over Iowa Western (3-22-23) … Went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI in an 8-3 win at St. Charles (4-2-23) … That started an 11-game hitting streak which she batted .536 (15-for-28) with seven doubles, two triples, seven runs and eight RBI … During the streak hit a double in five straight games … Opened a two-game set with Fort Scott with a double, triple and RBI in a 5-1 win, and capped it with a single, triple, two runs and two RBI in a 9-1 victory (4-11-23) … Went 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs and three RBI in an 11-3 win at Highland (4-22-23) … Doubled, homered, scored twice and drove in two runs in a 4-2 win over Cowley … Had a two-run single in a 10-1 win over Kansas City Kansas in the first game of doubleheader, and followed with a RBI double in a 7-1 win over the Blue Devils (5-3-23).
